TWO members of the City of South Perth Historical Society have taken the time to pay homage to their local community in their latest publication, Looking Back at Old South Perth.

Editors Kerry Davey and Sue Emmett have compiled a series of tales from South Perth identities who have provided insight into what the suburb was like before the completion of the Narrows Bridge.

“The stories themselves are personal accounts that were told by the authors to meetings of the hospital society,” Mr Davey said.

“During the past seven to 10 years the stories were told, transcribed on to computer then edited by Sue Emmett.”

The book is available at Heritage House or for online purchase at info@southperthhistoricalsociety.org.
