Intolerance sad

AS a sixth-generation Australian Christian who considers herself just another human being, I find it sad that recent writer Heidi Attwood and many like her are so intolerant of people who wear Muslim dress. How does she know what they are like?

You can’t judge by appearance. I have found most ordinary Muslims are tolerant of others as long as you respect them. We all, or most, believe in the same God, the Creator who made us all, and Muslims also revere Jesus as a prophet.

Finally, there are fanatics in all religions (and races), including ours.

No class, Arabian night.
Give me the vision of chicks in "sand storm clothing" any day. They ALL look good in their garb.
Aussie chicks(mostly ) have very poor dress sense, and style does not come into it.
Aussie girls could learn a lot from their religious cousins.

The basic problem with the teachings of Islam is their reaction to perceived insults to their God. They feel they must defend him. does not that imply that their God cannot look after himself...as such, they themselves are being insulting...to their own God.
To even imply he is helpless.
Christians mostly should follow Jesus' example...When he was arrested and Peter cut off the ear of the servant of the Jewish leader, Jesus said to stop the action, and then healed the servant...saying all the while tghat he could call on a lot of power if he needed it...from his father in heaven...
BUT HE DIDN'T.

We are in Australia NOT in Middle East.
Why all those "Sand Storm Protection" clothing?

Was the modesty of Christian clothing of yesteryear so very different from the traditions of clothing that have been maintained by those who wear Muslim dress?

As Ruth rightly points out, respect is a two-way street.

However, any resemblance between Isa and Jesus is purely coincidental....
